James E. (Jim)
Schuster is the President of the Aircraft Integration Systems business of
Raytheon. He has complete profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for
facilities in Greenville and Waco, Texas, as well as Lexington, Kentucky. He
was appointed to his current position in November 1999.
Mr. Schuster earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lockhaven State University in Pennsylvania in 1976 and an MBA in Systems Management from Lake Erie College in 1984. With over 25 years of defense, aerospace and commercial experience, Mr. Schuster's background includes a 15-year career at Westinghouse Electric Corporation' Naval Systems Division in Cleveland, Ohio. He served in numerous positions for the company, with significant operations and program ,management responsibilities. It was during his service as Director of Operations in 1993 that Mr. Schuster's facility was selected by its "Top 10 Plants in America". Mr. Schuster joined Allied Signal Aerospace in Torrence, California in 1995 as Vice President of Operations. His management responsibilities for his $1.7B business unit included 13 major business sites and more than 9,000 employees.

In 1996, he assumed
worldwide operations responsibility for MagneTek, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee
as Senior Vice President of Operations. He was directly responsible for 26
plants, 13 distribution centers and more than 13,000 employees in the United
States, Mexico, Hungary, United Kingdom, China, Germany and Italy.
In 1998, Mr. Schuster was promoted to Executive Vice President of MagneTek's Motors & Generators Business Unit headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. In this position, he had complete P&L responsibility for the Motors and Generators Business Unit, which employed more than 6,000people in North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Schuster joined Raytheon in October 1999 as Deputy Vice President and General Manager of Aircraft Integration Systems. He was later advanced to Senior Vice President and General Manager, with complete P&L responsibility of operation. In his present position as President of Aircraft Integration Systems, he reports directly to Raytheon's CEO. Mr. Schuster and his wife, Ann, reside in the Rockwall, Texas area and have two teenage sons.
